Sending Blessings Upon the Prophet ﷺ: A Reward Beyond Measure - درود شریف — جمعہ کا سب سے قیمتی عمل

If a believer truly grasped how much pleasure Allah derives when His servant sends blessings upon the Noble Prophet ﷺ, and what immense rewards follow from it, he would devote every breath, every passing moment, to this single act. No other pursuit would hold the same appeal for him. A tongue that remembers Muhammad al-Arabi ﷺ draws near to Allah's pleasure; a heart that repeats his praise again and again draws near to the light of His mercy.

Today is the blessed day of Friday, and the reports of the Prophet ﷺ indicate that the merit of sending blessings upon him is heightened on this day in particular. It is related that whatever blessings are sent on a Friday reach him directly, pure and accepted. For a single invocation of blessing, ten mercies are returned; for a single remembrance, one's rank is raised; for a single moment of recollection, sins are erased and light increases.

This should not be treated as a mere formality. It is, in fact, the most profitable transaction available to a believer. Were the veil to be lifted and one to glimpse the majesty of that divine pleasure, idle speech would cease to find its way to the tongue, and every otherwise empty moment would rightly belong to the words "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad."

Let this Friday, and indeed one's entire life, be filled with this remembrance. The reward is not distant — it is immediate, without limit, and reserved only for those who refuse to let a single moment go to waste.

اگر بندے کو اس بات کا صحیح ادراک ہو جائے کہ درود شریف پڑھنے سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی بارگاہ میں کس قدر رضا و خوشنودی حاصل ہوتی ہے اور اس پر کیسے عظیم اجر و انعامات مرتب ہوتے ہیں، تو یقیناً وہ اپنی زندگی کا ہر لمحہ اسی عمل میں صرف کرنے کی کوشش کرے۔ کوئی اور مشغلہ اس کے نزدیک اتنا محبوب نہ رہے، کیونکہ جو زبان نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ذکر کرتی ہے اور جو دل کثرت سے آپ ﷺ پر درود بھیجتا ہے، اسے اللہ تعالیٰ کی خاص رحمت اور قربت نصیب ہوتی ہے۔

آج جمعہ کا بابرکت دن ہے، اور احادیثِ مبارکہ سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اس دن درود شریف کی کثرت کی خصوصی تاکید کی گئی ہے۔ حدیث میں وارد ہے کہ جمعہ کے دن امت کا درود براہِ راست نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک پہنچایا جاتا ہے۔ نیز یہ بھی حدیث سے ثابت ہے کہ ایک درود کے بدلے اللہ تعالیٰ دس رحمتیں نازل فرماتا ہے اور درجات بلند کرتا ہے، اور یہ عمل گناہوں کی معافی اور نیکیوں میں اضافے کا ذریعہ بنتا ہے۔

اس عمل کو محض رسمی عبادت کے طور پر نہیں بلکہ ایک ایسی سعادت کے طور پر دیکھنا چاہیے جس کا نفع دائمی اور یقینی ہے۔ اگر مومن اس حقیقت کو پیشِ نظر رکھے تو فضول گفتگو اور بےمقصد اوقات میں کمی آئے گی، اور اس کی جگہ ذکرِ الٰہی اور درود شریف کا اہتمام ہوگا۔

اس لیے مناسب ہے کہ جمعہ کے دن کو، بلکہ اپنی پوری زندگی کو، درود شریف کے اہتمام سے مزین کیا جائے، کیونکہ اس کا اجر عنقریب نہیں بلکہ فوری اور بےپایاں ہے، اور یہ سعادت انہی خوش نصیب بندوں کو نصیب ہوتی ہے جو وقت کی قدر کرتے ہیں اور کوئی لمحہ ضائع نہیں ہونے دیتے۔
