Former president and Bharat Ratna recipient APJ Kalam today exhorted children to utilise their talent and work hard to transform the nation into a developed country by 2020. Interacting with children at the 19th National Children Science Congress(NCSC) , Kalam said “I have full faith in your talent and capabilities and I view you as future of India”.
Over 3,500 children from science streams from India and abroad, who came here to attend the five-day NCSC, listened to the ‘Missile Man’ with keen interest and asked a number of questions. Students were thrilled with his presence and felt free expressing themselves in from of a milestone.

During an hour-long interaction, the former President speaking at length over his Vision-2020, expressed confidence about transformation of India into a powerful and developed nation by 2020 and hailed the performance of the India Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on various vital projects including the Mission Moon.

Later Kalam visited IIS University, Jaipur. On the Occasion, the students of other institutions of the Network i.e. IIS, ICG, IIERD, conversed with such a great personality of country who has received the highest honour like Bharat Ratna and is called as the missile man of India. The engineering and management students of IIMET & IIIM students too felt overwhelmed to have such a distinguished guest among them.

He motivated students and said that nothing is impossible to achieve if one has a goal and works hard to achieve it. Sharing his experience and earlier interactions held with students he said that India has a lot of talent but one needs to exert.

He said that the query for knowledge will help each individual to achieve his goals. Narrating one of the instances, he said I had come across a brilliant blind boy who dreamt to become India’s first blind Prime Minister. This shows that the boy never lacked the vision despite being blind.
He also motivated students that they should opt for the fields like science, development and even politics, as 5trhe country needs the visionaries who can further develop it.

APJ Abdul Kalam’s  New Year message to Jaipur youth:

He said just one day to go and New Year will arrive, we should take an oath that we will work hard, come what may. He said that teachers should teach with compassion. One should always think what he can give back in his life and after. Students and teachers present during the conversation were overwhelmed with his wise words, before signing off he shared a poem in accordance with New Year

 I am form with patiene,
I am form with the Ideas and Dreams,
I am the greatest,
I have the confidence,
I have the wings,
so that I can fly,
I am not meant for crawling,
because I have the Wings
I will fly ” !
