Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation which is a subsidiary of the Indian Railways that handles the catering, tourism and online ticketing operations of the railways.

First thing First keeping it real IRCTC should redirect to the flight booking page when someone clicks the tatkal option,coz the most valid excuse for coming late to office. A team mate emailed - "Booking ticket on IRCTC. Will be a bit late." to say it promptly I once Dozed off while booking a ticket on IRCTC. Woke up and found that one gif image had been downloaded on the page, as was writing this blog I'was trying to crack a joke on IRCTC but mymind says "Can't login, try again later"IRCTC is the only website which takes the same time to load irrespective of the speed of your Internet connection.The time it takes to load, it's high time IRCTC is renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Panch Varshiye Tourism Yojna.

A lot of people think IRCTC's tagline is 'This webpage is not available'.

There should be prequel of Chennai Express - about how SRK managed to book his ticket on IRCTC site,It shall be a great drama and tragedy, Its so awful task that you can add "Booked a ticket in tatkal" in your resume as one of the achievements! People who can book a tatkal ticket from IRCTC website should be awarded . I insist. it seems IRCTC represents the modern India. It is strongly against reservation.

While booking a ticket on IRCTC , I feel like a revolutionary

But what's the alternative of IRCTC that's the important question? We badly need someone who can talk real tough with the IRCTC bosses about improving things urgently. Someone like, say, Narain Karthikeyan.

IRCTC launched app for Mobile Railway Reservation Ticket booking

Indian railways has introduced a mobile reservation app IRCTC Mobile which allows you to book Indian railway reservation tickets directly from your mobile phone.
The app has been launched by IRCTC in association with leading mobile commerce platforms like NGPAY, PAYMATE and ATOM. You can download the IRCTCMobile app from IRCTC website. When you go to the IRCTC website scroll down to the bottom of the IRCTC website. You will find a section named “Mobile Zone” on the website.
