Your past, no matter how bad, can be deleted by sincere repentance between you and your Maker. Turn a new leaf today.
As much as we must not delay to resolve matters between us, sadly at times we have no choice but to leave it for the Day of Reckoning.
Time ticks, never to return. A minute wasted is gone forever. There is no room for laziness in this life. Make the most of every moment.

Children are a gift entrusted to us by the Almighty. The way we communicate with them can shape the way they face the future.
"Smile before it is too late! Rather show your teeth now than realise their value only after you have dentures!"
It will still be a good deed! lol
Belief in predestiny & the overriding power of the Almighty saves us from depression when we suffer loss or arrogance when we achieve much.

This made me shiver.

"The pious used to hide their good deeds just like we hide our sins!"
Some people look so happy yet they are going through great trials in life whilst others look so miserable without any difficulties. Why?
The burden of a sin out lives it's temporary pleasure, making it not worthwhile at all. May the Almighty safeguard us all. Aameen

Having a genuine and sincere friend is like having hard currency during an economic crisis. Very valuable yet very rare.

Those who want to live a life of luxury even though they know that they cannot afford it have none other than themselves to blame when their life is torn apart!

We should never be shy or hesitate to downgrade our entire lifestyle when our earnings have been affected.

Husbands become stressed, wives complain, children develop bad habits ultimately disintegrating the once cosy home, solely because we chose to live a fake life to display to others that we have what we cannot really even afford!

Making a habit of being in a rush is not good.

We must try to manage our time correctly.

Plan the day in such a way that each item on the "to do" list is allocated enough time for us to accomplish without pressure for time.

Once in a while the situation may require us to make haste but this should never be habitual.

Rushing can cause accidents, compromise quality and even result in regret! Be calm!

"A true believer is neither vulgar nor immoral when he speaks". Prophet Muhammad pbuh

Many of us use words that we are prohibited from using, and get so used to using such language that we don't even realise what we are uttering.

Using such words is sinful even if we are joking, and it results in the loss of blessings in our lives, the discomfort to the angels of protection who distance themselves from us, losing respect among fellow human beings and setting a very bad precedent in our families and societies.

It also diminishes our spirituality and strengthens the link with Satan. It has a great negative effect on our minds and overall temperament.

For this and many other reasons, we must never ever utter vulgar or immoral words.
Speaking using the best and purest language will create a blessed look on our faces to begin with and result in us being respected and blessed at the same time.

Our general lives will begin to improve and we will see this clearly and feel it truly.

Are we ready to promise the Creator that we will improve on this immediately?

In the same way that when traveling we ensure that our baggage does not exceed the airline weight limitation because of the fear of being penalized, we should also ensure that we do not carry excess baggage into the Hereafter. \

The correct weight is achieved through prayer, forgiving others, letting go of sin & other negative issues that we have held onto far too long, cleansing our hearts from jealousy, envy, hatred & evil thoughts, choosing the correct friends, assisting others, improving our character & abstaining from foul language & oppression.

It is important to do a weight check before arriving at the ultimate “scale of justice”.

What don't we have?
A roof above our heads, a plate of food, something to clothe ourselves with, a shoe to protect our feet, water to drink, body parts & general health, a school to go to, transport when needed even if it means public transport etc and the list is endless.

In fact we have all this & much more but sadly most of us tend to look at the few things we don't have & become so depressed & despondent. Is that fair?

We MUST face challenges in life & tests yet many are not prepared to be put through a single test without making it the biggest issue about it. Most complaints are actually connected to luxuries & not necessities.

May the Almighty assist those who are going through trying times. Aameen

When are you going to have children? Whilst some may not mind, that question & other similar questions can be very embarrassing & at times rather hurtful too.

The stress of those who cannot have children even though they would love to is increased by such unnecessary questions which make it seem like they have chosen not to have children yet they have no say in the matter.

It is our duty to be sensitive about such issues & not just take it for granted.

Questioning about the details of the lives of others is a VERY bad habit that leads to full blown gossip. Let us develop a policy of staying away from whatever is "none of our business".

How many of us have come across non-Muslims who are more honest, polite, helpful & compassionate than Muslims?

It is sickening to hear how many Muslims are dishonest in dealings, vulgar, abusive & really unpleasant to be around.

To the extent that many people complain of some hiding behind their outward religious appearance to get away with some of the worst habits.

If practising Islam correctly is in itself the most powerful invitation to this amazing way of life, then not practising it might be a great deterrent.

I for one, promise to make an effort to improve myself with the help of the Almighty.

Those in positions of authority of any kind should fulfill their duties bearing in mind that the Almighty is watching.

Abuse of position in any way is unacceptable and will not be let off lightly. If we cannot deliver the goods we should hand over to those more capable without delay.

Many people have a habit of laying the blame of failure upon others when they are the ones responsible.

Many people also love to take up positions of authority for the prestige, to beautify their CVs, to add a feather to their cap knowing very well that they are incapable to achieve anything meaningful.

Such dishonesty and selfish behavior can result in great loss to generations. It can also result in the failure or closure of businesses, schools, organisations, the disintegration of families and communities etc.

Let us work hard to fulfill our responsibilities honestly.

Each time I travel, I learn so much by meeting people of diverse nationalities, cultures, religious backgrounds, thoughts and ideas.

It's amazing how travelling can make us wiser, allowing us to understand others better and appreciate their goodness, where they have excelled over us and the common factors between us whilst learning from the few differences we may have.

It also makes me realise how petty we sometimes are in our own little circles whilst the huge globe has no time for that.

Sad how you are a good person until you correct someone. Then you are officially a bad person in their eyes.

Each person has a good side. Take the good of others, not the bad.

If reaching out to the distressed is so rewarding, imagine the sin of causing the distress. Help others, don't harm them.

  • Some people have no constructive contribution to humanity so they choose to be destructive, spreading hatred, chaos & confusion.

  • As the celebration of the great sacrifice draws near, are we prepared to sacrifice the animal within us, bad habits, laziness etc?
