Our fore father's foresights - Fire Hydrants

For many many years,I used to always wonder what this metal structure used to be. It was to be seen all over Bangalore fixed on footpaths. Later on came to know that fire engines could stop and draw water from this for emergencies. Read a little more about them,it is called Fire Hydrant. Most of them have vanished from our City landscape.

It had existence from British era and now rarely seen and antique.

Now a days every building with certain height limit as per fire emergency protocol to have their own fire protection system.

Our ancestors were 10 steps ahead of us in planning. 

Our ancestors were credible. Loved the city like their mother.

They cared for the welfare of the city. They designed it so well.

In the greed of money and tenders. In the pseudo name of development. Contractors are being pimps for MLAs, MPs and corporators and bagging contracts.

Which is being showed in present roads of Bangalore about their pimping nature and shrewdy dirty work.
